Desert Qween is inspired by Rebecca's exploration of New Mexico and Morocco. Always drawn to the desert landscape, these locations have been influential to a new development in style, inspiration, and personal growth for Rebecca. Seeing how similar the landscapes were to each other was shocking and sparked an excitement and connection to these arid and colorful environments.

Each journey began with a sketchbook to document the trip, noting random thoughts and memories from the silly to the profound. Being able to revisit those fresh thoughts and emotions helped Rebecca develop her sketches into bigger ideas. The connections between her desert travels are expressed with flowing lines, shapes, patterns and vibrant but natural color palettes.
